Terms and Conditions

By using Prism Technology Support Services (henceforth "Prism"), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

APPOINTMENTS AND SCHEDULING

1) Prism must be notified of cancelled appointments within 24 hours of scheduled time. Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before scheduled time may be subject to an additional surcharge.

2) Appointment times and dates are subject to change with due notice to the customer.

3) Rapid response or urgent service may incur additional fees.

DATA RECOVERY AND BACKUP

1) CUSTOMERS ARE RESPONSIBLE for all data on their hard drives and/or removable media. We encourage you to backup your important files before turning your system in for maintenance. Prism makes no guarantees, implied or expressed, as to the safety of customer's data.

2) Prism will not be held liable for any data loss relating to hardware failure, virus, spyware, corruption or any other situation.

3) By using Prism data recovery services, the customer understands that Prism can make no guarantee on how much, if any, of the customer's data can be recovered. The customer also agrees that payment for data recovery services rendered by Prism shall be made in full REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH DATA IS RECOVERED.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

1) Prism is hereby released from any liability pertaining to the loss, corruption, or damage that the customer may suffer related to data and non-functioning of any computer component, equipment, or peripherals.

2) Prism is not responsible for any problems arising from third party software installed on your computer by our technicians, you, or anyone else.

3) Prism shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to any cause beyond its control. If Prism's ability to render services is impaired by your failure to cooperate or circumstances beyond the control of Prism, Prism may choose not to provide services.

4) Under no circumstances shall Prism be liable to you or any other person for any damages, including without limitation any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, expenses costs, profits, lost savings or earnings, lost or corrupted data, or other liability arising out of or related to the services provided by Prism or out of the installation, de-installation, use of, or inability to use your computer equipment, hardware, peripherals, or the network as a result of the services provided.

5) Any computer, equipment, or peripheral left in the custody of Prism more than 30 days after notice of service completion without proper notification and coordination with Prism will be considered abandoned and may be placed for resale. If the resale price does not cover the cost of repair, the customer is responsible for the difference.

SERVICE GUARANTEE

1) Prism stands behind its service and its technicians. If there is a problem with the service we provided, notify us within 30 days and we will work to remedy your problem at no additional cost. If at that time the problem still is not corrected, the customer may be entitled to a partial or full refund at the discretion of the technician. Failure to disclose all pertinent information to the technician may result in loss of service guarantee.

2) Any repair or service required arising from a problem not directly related to the original service provided is not subject to the terms of the service guarantee.

3) Service guarantee applies to cost of labor only. Prism shall not be held liable for the cost of replacement parts or software in the event of third-party hardware or software failure. If problems do arise, the customer is responsible for contacting the manufacturer of the product at fault to obtain warranty or RMA replacement products.

PAYMENT POLICY

1) Payment is due in full to the technician on-site at the time of service completion. Prism accepts cash, check, money orders, PayPal, or credit cards.

2) Checks and money orders should be made out the technician on-site. Returned or refused checks shall incur a $25.00 fee IN ADDITION to the original payment amount and any fees incurred by Prism as a result of the returned check.

PRISM IS NOT LIABLE FOR LOSS, ALTERATION, OR CORRUPTION OF ANY DATA OR FOR YOUR INABILITY TO USE YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT OR OTHER PRODUCT.
